Cotton 1950’s Apron Dress

awesome comfy dress
Definitely one of my favorite projects to date. This reprint of a 1950’s pattern is wonderful. It gives the illusion of 2 dresses but is actually one, making it much simpler to put on; it merely buttons in the back and then snaps in the front. I made this one of 100% cotton in two prints. The sheath-like part is a geometric green print with black and pink accents and the overdress is a textured hot pink. I bound the edges in black bias tape. The bright colors brighten my day and I love to wear while running errands. It’s easier to pull on then sweats.
