Book Cover for Journals or worn out paperbacks
Found a tutorial on Urban Threads on how to make an embroidered journal cover so I decided to try it out on my fledgling Grimoire/Book of Shadows/Journal. I am using an old journal I found lying around (it’s a bit waterstained and beat up from being toted around from place to place for the last 6 years.
The front is pretty simple with a simple pentacle in white with Grimoire embroidered in an Old English style lettering in a silvery blue-grey and black celtic knots in the corners:

The back is similarly done but with a triple crescent moon design in copper, silvery blue-grey & purple.

I also Embroidered the binding with Book of Shadows in the same color and type-face as “Grimoire” on the front.

I made it out of black 100% cotton corduroy and lined with a black poly-cotton blend. It fits 5″ wide x 8″ tall hardcover journal. I would love to make one out of leather or even faux leather since it would look awesome like this see details here or here
