Greenman Embroidery

6th June 2012 | 0 Comments

Just finished my satin stitch, filled Green Man. I’m exceedingly happy with the way this piece turned out, along with the framing job. I didn’t actually time myself but it was at least 30 hours of stitching. It is done on white cotton muslin with double stranded cotton floss in various shades of green brown […]

Rayon Embroidery Floss

15th September 2011 | 0 Comments

I’m working on an embroidery project and using DMC’s satin embroidery floss. It’s awful, fraying so easily. Rayon isn’t the strongest of fibers but you should be able to pull the floss through cotton fabric without it fraying half way through an 18″ strand. Thank god it’s only for a portion. Never again using it.

Three Birds, One Stone

9th May 2011 | 0 Comments

In April, a bunch of my online friends (many, if not all, are crafters) got together and did a stash swap. It involved sending your person items from your stash and then they use those items to create something. The only requirements were they you use the stuff sent to you and that you purchase […]

Thoughts about machine embroidery

29th August 2010 | 0 Comments

I love my embroidery machine. It allows me to really cool embellished items. There are tons of embroidery designs out there by tons of different people. However I have found two that really suit both my needs, style and are good quality designs (ie give me the least issues on my machine); Urban Threads and […]

I’ve been a busy child the past few months

23rd April 2010 | 0 Comments

I’ve been getting a lot made and done. I even was able to clean up the house a bit. The two Mini Lace Top Hats are embroidery machine free standing lace. They measure 5.5 in x 4.75 in x 2.5 in. They are wicked cute and perfect for a steampunk, gothic lolita or burlesque outfit. […]

Two items to talk about. The first being the new item I just put into my shop: Custom Embroidered Hats! And second I just completed an order for a fairy shirt and a cincher skirt. Custom Embroidered Hats are now available for order. These are great for gifts or if you are looking for something […]

Embroidered Coasters

25th August 2009 | 0 Comments

I just finished these (well mostly the machine needle broke about 1″ from finishing the fourth so I’m taking that as a sign to stop crafting and get home things done instead). I really like the way the embroideries came out. They are a bit smaller than they should’ve been since I didn’t lay the […]

Embroidered Waistcincher Corset Skirt

30th July 2009 | 0 Comments

Just finished this today. It’s a reversible cincher skirt. One side is olive green cotton sateen embroidered with a pink fairy and the other is black twill embroidered with interlocking triple crescent designs in copper, pink and silver. Antique gold grommets and pink top stitching finish off both sides. I love the way it turned […]

Book Cover for Journals or worn out paperbacks

9th July 2009 | 2 Comments

Found a tutorial on Urban Threads on how to make an embroidered journal cover so I decided to try it out on my fledgling Grimoire/Book of Shadows/Journal. I am using an old journal I found lying around (it’s a bit waterstained and beat up from being toted around from place to place for the last […]

Celtic Trinity Knot Embroidered Twill Messenger Purse

9th July 2009 | 0 Comments

Inspired by the Dragon Embroidered Faux Leather Messenger bag (also for sale) but for those days when you want a spacious purse but don’t need to be carrying much more than your wallet, cell phone, maybe your current book and shopping lists. It’s small but generous dimensions will allow you to carry anything you need […]
